Hello Fellow Keepers of Trogdor,

We’re entering the home stretch of the campaign now! Thank you for your continued support as we slide into the end here. We’re introducing something new and fun to get you all involved!

BUT FIRST WE HIT OUR STRETCH GOAL

Thank all of you for helping us reach our stretch goal of 15,000 backers! Now, we can bring EVERY BACKER a free set of our Alternate Trogdor meeples. The meeples, as you know, are based on the valiantly attempted dragon sketches by true legends Coach Z, Strong Mad, Strong Sad, and Strong Bad’s early designs. We’re stoked to get these out to all of you, and we hope you enjoy them. You can use them to replace Trogdor in our game or use them in any game that would benefit from amazing meeples.

Trogdor! Backer Burnination Bingo

We’re doing that thing that everybody does! We’re making an achievement based bingo board that will unlock some cool content rewards for you guys as we settle into our final days. Take a look at our board below!

Submit your achievements to Maya at [email protected]. When you submit pictures and content to us, know that we may post your picture in an update to show your awesomeness! You can track what achievements have been reached on this board which will be just below the stretch goal section of our campaign.

In our game, before you can use an action to burninate a cottage, you must burninate all the surrounding terrain tiles as well as the tile the cottage is on. In such fashion, help Trogdor burninate everything by fulfilling all the dumb demands on the terrain tiles and cottage itself! Once you’ve done them all, you will be rewarded by a live stream of Matt playing Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People and performing all the voices LIVE until he gets tired of it, or his throat gives out!

Also! We want to let you all know of an awesome coincidence that happened in the universe. Our pal Ryan North who writes all the best things (The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, Dinosaur Comics) ALSO has a Kickstarter going on right now and we know we have a LOT of fans in common. He’s written an amazing book/manual called “How To Invent Everything” which will help you recreate civilization’s greatest hits in case you are time-traveling and get stranded in history. And, the Kickstarter supports local bookstores which is something Strong Sad is WAY into, so go back it! Just so’s you know, the dromiceiomimus from Ryan’s Dinosaur Comics was the inspiration for Strong Mad’s fav dino stuffy Poodonkis.

Kickstarter Live Game Play

While we’re at Gen Con, we’re gonna show you some live game play! Sometime between 1PM and 1:30PM EST, we’ll start streaming here using Kickstarter live to show you us and fans playing the game. We hope you like!

Wyrmwood Video and Gen Con!

Wyrmwood Video

Our friends over at Wyrmwood made a video for you guys to see how their products are made. It all looks really cool so check it out! In his typical fashion, Strong Bad has added some commentary over the video as well. It’s pretty, artisanal, AND hilarious, and we hope you enjoy it!

Gen Con

All of us will be at Gen Con this week! Matt and Mike will be demoing Trogdor! for some sold out sessions from 12pm EST - 2pm EST in the Westin Capitol III on Thursday and Friday. They will also be participating in the Celebrity Secret Hitler panel (which will be streamed on Twitch - We will post the link when it’s live) in the Westin Grand Ballroom I and II at 1pm EST on Saturday. Maya will be running games of Secret Hitler in the ICC, Hall C, Yellow, 3-4 12pm - 2pm EST on Thursday and Friday as well, and they will also be at the Celebrity Secret Hitler panel. Come check us all out at these events! We might also have Strong Bad out during other times to pick out his favorite cosplay or maybe some other great convention goodies, so be on the lookout for red boxing gloves!

In the meantime, we’ve made you a surprise video. These meeple designs were so adorbz, we couldn’t resists dropping them into a cartoon and barely animating them! 

We’re gonna be making random videos for you guys occasionally. This is the first, and we hope you all enjoy it. We’re also still working on the goal videos, so look out for those as well!

Surprise + Sixth Stretch Goal

Hello Fellow Keepers of Trogdor,

Thank you for your continued support to help us bring this game to life. We’ve got a new stretch goal with some game additions, but first, a surprise.

A Totally Cool Surprise

Strong Bad has taken it upon himself to make 3 more Keepers of Trogdor cards and 3 more Item cards and is forcing them into the base game! These are the characters you play during the game along with their fanciful, pranciful enchanted items. Apparently, SB didn’t think there were enough in the deck, so he got out some loose leaf and masking tape and got to work. While we will keep his janky taped-up art styles intact, we reserve the right to tweak these in service of the game. Because by now you know our motto here at the Trogdor!! The Board Game Kickstarter. Chant it with us: All art and assets NOT final!

6th Stretch Goal: Alternate Trogdor Meeples

Our next stretch goal is a pretty exciting one. We’re adding alternate Trogdor meeples to the base game! These new meeples will be based on the first attempts to draw a dragon done by Coach Z, Strong Mad, Strong Sad, and even Strong Bad (sorry Homsar, no dice).

You can use these meeples in the place of Trogdor whenever you play the game. Choose the dragon that speaks to your soul’s inner sanctum. They’ll be a free addition to the game and will come with every Kickstarter pledge. We will offer any left overs in our online store after the campaign, but they will be sold there rather than given. Help us get to 15,000 backers so we can bring these alt Trogdor meeples to life!

Lucky Yates Collaboration

We’ve got a collaboration to announce! As you know our next goal is for Strong Sad to show you guys another review video from his online tabletop review show, Six-Sadded, Die. In order to make the video even more amazing, we’ve decided to collaborate with our pal Lucky Yates, the voice of Krieger from Archer. Help us get to 12,000 backers, and he’ll be making the video with Strong Sad himself. We hope you like it!
